A 4 year old boy from the West New Britain province is Papua New Guinea’s latest case of COVID-19, bringing the national count to 600.

While the boy wasn’t displaying any symptoms he was tested because he was in close contact with another person who had previously tested positive.

Overall in PNG just over 30,000 people have now been tested with 339 results still outstanding. 585 people have so far recovered from the virus and PNG has recorded 7 deaths.

Again the government is reminding everyone of the importance of getting tested if you have a fever, cough, sore throat, loss of taste or difficulty breathing.
