The fundamental truth is that as “followers of Christ”, we need to know the voice of our Father BUT in a world with so many voices bombarding us all the time, this is not only hard but can be very confusing.

John 10:27

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

We have voices telling us how to do just about every part of our lives. Who to vote for, what we identify ourselves as, what is right or wrong. You name it – the voices are plentiful and loud.

As believers, God makes it very clear whose voice is the most important – “My sheep hear My voice…”

The voice you listen to will greatly determine who you become, what morals you establish, how you navigate life, what you do and what you don’t do. Therefore, as believers, the number 1 voice is GOD’S VOICE.

The book of Romans chapter 10 verse 17 says, “So, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” THE BIBLE is our screening/filter tool, by which our moral compass is calibrated. As God speaks to us, through the Bible, we receive the instructions necessary to navigate life, its trials and its temptations.

A purposeful question to ask ourselves today is “whose voice am I listening to?”

If you do struggle to know what the right voice is, then start with:

  1. Having healthy Conversations with God
  2. Asking God Questions
  3. Learning to discern His voice from all the others
